These two codes sound serious, but they're often much better news than homeowners expect.
Er FF points to the freezer evaporator fan. Both this fan and the ice-room fan can become blocked by frost if the defrost system develops a problem. Sometimes replacing the fan motor is enough. Other times the fan is fine and the underlying issue is elsewhere in the defrost system. Either way, these repairs are generally much less expensive than compressor work.
Er IF points to the ice-room fan. Frost from a defrost problem can stop the fan from turning, or the motor itself may have failed. If an error code is still displayed when you call, let us know. It helps us prepare for the appointment before we arrive.
LG Washer Repair
LG's direct-drive washer design has earned a solid reputation. Because the motor mounts directly to the drum, there are no drive belts to replace. In fact, the direct-drive motor itself is rarely the part that fails. The surrounding components simply wear first.

An FE code indicates the washer overfilled. Most often, either the inlet valve remained open mechanically, or the pressure sensor failed to report the correct water level. One quick clue: if water continues entering the washer after it's been unplugged, the inlet valve, not the control board, is usually responsible.
Not every UE code means the washer is broken. A heavy blanket or single bath mat can temporarily throw the drum out of balance. If the UE code appears during nearly every load, worn suspension rods become much more likely.

The third letter in the model number tells us a lot before we arrive. DLE = Electric dryer. DLG = Gas dryer. Both dryers look nearly identical, but the heating systems are completely different.
